As part of one of my final year modules, I experimented with 3D Cad modelling and 3D printing to create the visual aesthetics for a concept Football boot.
The idea behind the concept boot was to be able to have an interchangeable upper style to encourage less waste within the football boot industry by providing more customisation and personalisation.
As part of this I had to create the overall form and function of the football boot, and the best way to do so was to create the 3D models on Blender and then 3D print them out. This allowed for quick prototyping as I could make slight tweaks to different curves, edges and sizes in-till the design shape was achieved.
Additionally once I had made the appropriate form, I could then do more rapid prototyping on the potential aesthetics of football boots, using processes such as spray painting, laminating, stencilling and more.
