For this project brief, we worked in a group of 3 to create a product aimed at 20-30 year olds, that could be laser cut out of a sheet material such as plywood.
Through research we identified that due to increasing house prices and living conditions for 20-30 year olds, a lot of millennials do not have much room for beautiful and functional furniture in their home.
We then decided to design a multi function table that can be transformed from a coffee table to a dining table, and then to a flat sheet to be packed away in less than 30 seconds.
It worked due to the smart design of the legs. They were able to be taken apart from the table top, rotated and then slotted back into the table top to give the alternative style. The legs then also slotted into the netting of the table top for storage!
