Crown Hockey is the only UK based manufacturers of field hockey sticks. They design and manufacture the most high tech and top of the range hockey sticks available to buy. They are able to do this through their innovative and unique features as well as the hand-made manufacture process, using state of the art materials such as carbon fibre used in Formula 1 cars.
My role as Designer was to assist in the development and idea generation of the design of carbon fibre hockey sticks, masks, shin pads and more. This included concept sketching, prototyping and working with athletes to improve designs.
Another requirements of my role was to be involved with the hand made manufacture process of each stick and accessory. Working closely with carbon fibre and other composite materials to create high quality and perfect products down to every last detail.
I was also in charge of their social media account and any digital design they needed created, i.e. product video, Graphics, social media content and more, which often involved planning out production/filming days and working with athletes to ensure all content was collected.
